Public Awareness
Childhelp provides a variety of public awareness materials which are distributed at a national and local level. This includes brochures and other printed materials, and a powerful music video by country music star and Childhelp Celebrity Ambassador Collin Raye entitled "The Eleventh Commandment." This video portrays the heartbreaking reality of abused children and concludes with the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline number, 1-800-4-A-CHILD. It is an excellent tool for professionals who make child abuse presentations to students or community groups, or as a discussion starter for group therapy sessions. Many Childhelp public awareness activities take place each April (National Child Abuse Prevention Month) as part of the Childhelp National Day of Hope.
